Trusted reviews… can I trust the reviews? Nordstrom’s, I can trust the reviews on there, they do have something where people can actually upload the pictures and tag themselves. Revolve also does that too, where like the girls use the hashtag, I can see their product.
…just the more that I can feel confident that this is not some crazy, fake product. It just makes my life easier so I don’t have to go through all those steps and exercises to find out if I can trust it.

Ever since fake reviews became a thing on Amazon, customers don’t necessary trust them. They certainly look at them, but they do their own sleuthing. And if you are faking any of it, they know.
Raquel went a bit more in-depth than most would when vetting this shoe brand. It only took just one Google search and a few clicks, and she was able to see reviews dating back 2 years. It gave her a better overview of the company as a whole. Unfortunately, she had more questions than answers.
So the 100% 5-star reviews (38) on the brand website didn’t help. If anything, if gave her pause to consider if the company was suppressing reviews.
A breach of trust like that, especially for unknown brands, almost ensures a maybe-customer turns into a never-customer.
